These terms and conditions describe the basis on which we (Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC: www.lean6sigma.com.hk) provide e-learning, mentoring, and certification services (e-learning products) to you (the customer). Please study these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing any of our e-learning products. By purchasing our e-learning products, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
You may wish to save and/or print a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.
1. Changes and Updates
Commercial, technological, or regulatory requirements may force us to make amendments to these terms and conditions from time to time. By continuing to use our e-learning products, you agree to regularly check the latest version on our website, and you agree to accept any changes and updates.
2. Ownership and Operation

3. Program Endorsement and Cooperation Partners

Furthermore, our e-learning products are registered with the Council for Six Sigma Certification. You may find further information on standardised requirements for Six Sigma certifications published on their website.
4. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong, SAR, PR China, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong, SAR, PR China.
5. Cross-Border Service Provision
Unless announced otherwise, our e-learning products are hosted on Hong Kong servers, and our mentoring and certification services are carried out on the territory of Hong Kong SA, PR China. By purchasing our e-learning products, you confirm that you are using our services on the territory of Hong Kong SAR, PR China, even if your address on the invoice belongs to another country. By purchasing our e-learning products, you are further acknowledging that we are, in accordance with the taxation laws of Hong Kong SAR, PR China, not charging you any value-added taxes (VAT), and that it is your responsibility to check any tax implications that your country of residence may impose upon your purchasing and using of our e-learning products.
The content provided on our website, including videos, training material, code snippets, and design are owned by us. You may download and save training material and video screenshots only if used for your own studies. No other content may be copied, downloaded, reproduced, uploaded, posted, distributed, transmitted, displayed, broadcast, sold, licenced, linked to or used in any way without our prior written permission.
Some examples and contents in our training material and videos belong to the copyright of others and constitute fair dealing copyright exemptions in accordance with the Hong Kong Copyright Ordinance and the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works. Such examples and contents have been adduced for the purpose of commentary, criticism, and reference only. While these examples and contents are marked with quotation shortcodes, a list of references with the exact titles is given at the end of the training material.
7. Product Access and Pricing
You may purchase our products directly on our website, or, if your employer is a member of the German Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, on the website of the German Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. In both cases, you will enter a binding contract with the respective party and obtain an invoice issued in Hong Kong SAR, PR China.
In case you intend to register more than five persons of the same company, you may wish to contact us to obtain a price discount.
If you carried out the purchase directly on our website, you will be immediately granted access to the e-learning products. If you carried out the purchase with the German Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, you will typically obtain access within two working days after the payment confirmation.
Access is granted for a period of one year, after which your account access is automatically disabled. We may extend your access once for another year if you contact us at least one month prior to this expiry date. After the expiry date, you will no longer be able to access the e-learning and will have to purchase it again in order to regain access.
8. Cancellations & Refund Policy
Please be advised that, if you carried out the purchase directly on our website, we do not offer cancellations or refunds. To avoid disappointment, please carefully study our sample lessons to see whether our e-learning product is what you intend to purchase. If you carried out the purchase with the German Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the German Chamber of Commerce may grant cancellations or refunds based on their membership policy.
9. Communication and Notices
When using our website, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic. We expect you to send your requests, enquiries, complaints, etc. via mail to us (firstname.lastname@example.org), and we will send our correspondece to you primarily via mail as well.
10. Password and Security
Once registered on our e-learning website, you will obtain a username and password. You should keep both confidential and should not pass this information on to any third party. Once you are logged in with this user name and password you are entirely responsible for all activity that occurs under that account and you agree to be responsible for any expense, loss or damage incurred to us as a result of any misuse of your account. You agree to fully compensate us in relation to any such expense, loss or damage. You also agree to inform us in writing of any unauthorised use of your account or other breach of security which is known to you.
11. Our E-Learning Product Liability
Your rights as a consumer are protected under consumer rights legislation which guarantees that any items, goods or services ordered from our website will be fit for the purpose for which they were bought and will be of satisfactory quality. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the access to the learning materials and the Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC e-learning website do not contain any error, defect, malfunction or corruption, we do not accept responsibility for any damage to or loss of data on your computer system, network or server that results from the download or use of our training materials or any downloads from our e-learning website. Nor do we accept responsibility for loss of data including both data transmitted and other data held by you, or delay, or failure, in transmitting or receiving data, or indirect, or consequential losses arising from use of Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC materials, the Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC e-learning website, including loss of revenue, business, anticipated savings on profits.
We do not make any representation or warranty that access to the Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC e-learning website will meet your expectations or requirements, or that any particular results will be obtained from their use.
Our e-learning products include hyperlinks to other web sites which are not controlled or owned by us. We do not take any responsibility for privacy policies, practices or content of any third party websites. Furthermore, we are not responsible for whether these sites are available, and we do not endorse any advertising, or other materials either posted on, or available from these sites. We are not liable for damage resulting to you from availability of these sites.
We endeavour to ensure that the Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC e-learning website and all related learning material are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There will be occasions when the Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC e-learning website and related learning material will be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades and emergency repairs and you agree that Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC shall not be liable to you, or any third party, for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC e-learning website and/or related learning materials. Every step will be taken by us to minimise disruption. However, we cannot be held responsible for any disruptions that are inherent in the operation of the Internet and World Wide Web including viruses.
Your right to use the Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC e-learning website (www.lean6sigma.com.hk) and/or related learning material, will be suspended or terminated immediately without notice by us if you fail to comply with any term or provision of these terms and conditions, or if a competent regulatory authority requires us or any of our cooperation partners or suppliers to do so. Upon termination you must destroy all materials and associated documentation obtained from the Lean Six Sigma HK/APAC e-learning website and all copies of related learning material, and you agree that we may immediately deactivate your account and delete all records, files and associated information.
15. Affiliate Program
